What You Make It was recorded at Warwick University between 1998 and 2000 using the Fostex DMT8vl 8-track recorder. The bonus tracks 'Away From Here' and 'Speed Ye Gentlemen' were written after the album itself in 2001.

It's a record born out of a love of loud guitars, the freedom of university, the crazy emotion of late teens and hours upon hung-over hours of rehearsal in the small, sweaty Warwick Student's Union BandSoc practice room.
